The team is led by Cliff Shaluta. Cliff is professor of Advertising and coordinator of the Ad+PR programs at Western Kentucky University. Cliff was awarded an Advertising Educational Foundation (AEF) summer fellowship in 2007 due, in part, to his research on social media. He spent time in New York City with Young & Rubicam and in Kansas City with VML, an interactive advertising agency, also part of the WPP Group. Both organizations were excited about his work and provided some great feedback. Cliff was also one of just 100 college professors invited to be a part of the Edelman Public Relations New Media Academic Summit in 2007. He has been invited back each year since. Cliff completed a chapter for a new college textbook on advertising research in Fall of 2008. The textbook is called Research Methods in Communication and was published by Vision Press. Cliff has a real passion for social media and his present work involves developing a grant proposal for the BRADD area of Kentucky to deliver hands-on tech training to public schools and libraries.
