Mark Fields, VP of the Americas, shown in David’s video below, is fascinating as he describes Ford’s open platform Sync system. The Sync system allows any Bluetooth device to be connected to the car’s audio system. Sync provides hands-free access to personalized traffic reports and other information using the drivers’ cellphone. Ford’s big insight is that drivers want to stay connected to their friends and family as they drive. Mark Fields says that Ford gets ideas to improve Sync by monitoring various blogs and receiving feedback from their dedicated website.  Ford describes the Sync system in more detail on their corporate site.
